Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates aspiring for the PMP® credential need to satisfy the minimum Project management experience requirements as listed below and attend 35 contact hours of formal education in Project Management based on PMBOK - Standard.

A four-year degree (bachelor’s or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education. OR

A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.

Who should apply for PMP?

Those who lead and direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget, and scope.

What is PgMP

 

The PgMP® is a credential that recognizes demonstrated experience, skill, and performance in the oversight of multiple, related projects that are aligned with an organizational objective and strategic goal. Candidates for the PgMP® manage a program’s resources to ensure the ultimate success of the program and are responsible for modifying programs and making decisions that advance strategic and business objectives to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the program.

Training

There is no mandatory training required for obtaining PgMP® credential. However, looking at the vast nature of the subject and complexity of the evaluation process and the higher credential fee, we would suggest you to go for a formal boot camp where a systematic walkthrough of the Program Management Standard, discussion on the application aspects, the role of the Program Manager, the tasks he/she should perform and the knowledge/skill requirements will be discussed in length.
